Dighton 54, Fowler 6

At Fowler, the Dighton Hornets brought home a resounding win and more importantly, the fact that they continued to stay alive in the playoffs by drubbing the Fowler Goldbugs 54-6.

Dighton would take the game early by holding a 16-0 lead at the end of the first quarter, and they would seemingly put it away by holding a 32-6 lead at half.

Dighton would score 22 more points in the third quarter to finish up the scoring for the night. Dighton will play host to a familiar foe in the Sharon Springs Wildcats on Saturday, as the Hornets dropped the regular season matchup 51-0.

The Wildcats advanced in the playoffs to face Dighton by defeating the Thunder Ridge Longhorns, 53-6.

Victoria 50, Ingalls 0

At Victoria, the unbeaten Knights rolled past the Ingalls Bulldogs in 8-man Division II bi-district football action on Tuesday night.

The Knights (10-0) scored once in the opening quarter before a 20-point second-quarter explosion put some distance between them and the Bulldogs.

That 28-0 halftime advantage grew to 44-0 after three quarters and when the Knights scored in the fourth, making it 50-0, the game was halted due to the 45-point mercy rule.

Victoria rolled up 325 rushing yards and 65 passing yards while the Bulldogs (7-3) were limited to 60 yards on the ground and 55 through the air.

The Knights touchdowns came on runs of 5, 4, 67 and 4 yards while they also got TD passes covering 5, 24 and 12 yards.
