In the first round of the Rolla Showcase, senior Cody Harney exploded for 20 points as he led the Jackrabbits to a 54-43 victory over the Wildcats.

Junior Ty Ibarra added 10 points for Greeley County, while senior Israel Barco led Elkhart with 16 points, followed by fellow senior Wesley Higgins with 10.

Greeley County advances to face off against Syracuse while Elkhart will play Moscow.

Led by senior Dexter English’s 17 points, the Syracuse Bulldogs used a strong fourth quarter to defeat the Moscow Wildcats 46-35 in the first round of the Rolla Showcase.

Casey English added 10 points.

The Wildcats were led offensively by freshman Jaylen Mendez with 13 points. With the win, Syracuse will play Greeley County while Moscow will play Elkhart.

With an explosive 27-point game from Rhett Eskew, South Baca beat Stanton County 67-51 in the first round of the Rolla Showcase.

Keifer Puyear had his own explosive performance, putting up 21 points in a losing effort. Cole Smith put up 16 points for Stanton County.

South Baca advances to play Holcomb’s freshmen team while Stanton County will play tournament host Rolla.

With nine players scoring and three in double digits, Holcomb’s freshmen team cruised to a 40-point victory over the host team of the Rolla Showcase, 66-26.

Kobe Dickson led the Longhorns in scoring with 14 points, followed by 11-point performances from Devin Mader and Carter Blackburn.

Rolla was led by Obie Telford, who had 13 points.

With the win, Holcomb advances to play South Baca, while Rolla will play Stanton County.

The Stanton County Lady Trojans game on Thursday night in the Rolla Showcase against South Baca, Colo., ended in the Lady Trojans’ favor.

Jocelyn Ochoa, Emily Gerard, and Nayelia Molina each racked up 10 points for Stanton County, while Mariss Dickson was close behind with nine points.

Stanton County will play Rolla at 8 p.m. today in the winner’s bracket.

Led by Katie Murray’s 12 points, the Rolla Pirates cruised to a 50-37 victory over Garden City’s freshmen team in the Rolla Showcase on Thursday night.

Sarah Easterwood also tacked on 11 points for the Pirates while Beth Guymon led the Lady Buffaloes with 14 points.

With the win, Rolla advances to play Stanton County while Garden City will play South Baca, Colo., in the consolation bracket.

Elkhart’s Morgan Sanchez and Shaylee Addington each scored 10 points for the Lady Wildcats while Yessenia Villa and Jonna Owens each added eight points.

Greeley County’s Morgan Woelk scored a team-high of six points for the Lady Jackrabbits.

Elkhart will take on Moscow today at 5 p.m. at Pirate Arena in Rolla while Greeley County will play Syracuse today at 3:30 p.m.

Moscow had the upper hand against Syracuse, winning 60-36 on Thursday night in the opening round of the Rolla Showcase.

Kelsi Mueller and Kaitlyn Dobie each had 18 points. Maria Cecenas contributed 10 points with one 3-pointer for the Lady Wildcats.

Syracuse’s Delaney Pollart racked up 13 points for the Lady Bulldogs.

Moscow will play Elkhart today at 5 p.m. and Syracuse will play Greeley County at 3:30 p.m.
