A trio of Garden City Wind representatives racked up five hits to help the Pecos League’s North team hold off the South, 13-10, in the All-Star Game in Santa Fe, N.M., Monday night.

Joey Cecere, Clay Ardeeser and Beau Welborn led the Garden City contigent offensively, with Ardeeser going 2 for 3 with a two-run single in the third that gave the North squad a lead they would not squander for the rest of the game.

Cecere also added two hits and Welborn had a hit and two runs scored. Nicholas Francis also got an at bat for the North, but he grounded out.

A pair of Wind pitchers made an appearance, as Marty Anderson struggled, giving up two runs on three hits and three walks in just one inning, while Austin Boyle tossed a scoreless frame.

The rest of the Wind (26-21) will join their teammates in Santa Fe to kick off a two-game set with the Fuego that begins at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
