HOLCOMB — Sandy Elliott, 74, died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014, at her home in Holcomb.
She was born Sept. 12, 1941, in Roaring Springs, Texas, to Luther and Amy Powell Drennon. She graduated from Lakin High School in 1957.
In 1960, she married Kenneth Elliott.
Mrs. Elliott worked as a real estate appraiser, owning and operating Sandy Elliott Appraisal Services. She enjoyed playing golf, reading and spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed volunteering for many years as a marshal on Hole No. 5 at Buffalo Dunes Golf Course during the Southwest Kansas Pro-Am golf tournament.
Survivors include two sons, Kalon Elliott of Tahlequah, Okla., and Derik and wife Rita Elliott of Greeley, Colo.; three sisters, Linda Ochoa of New Mexico, Cindi Thompson of Wyoming, and Crystal Drennon of New Mexico; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A private family service will be held at a later date. The family will gather at 1704 Fleming St. from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday to visit with friends and to celebrate Sandy’s life.
