Isidoro ‘Chiro’ Castillo

ULYSSES — Isidoro “Chiro” Castillo, 46, of Ulysses died Friday, Dec. 5, 2014 at Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital in Ulysses.

He was born April 2, 1968, in Durango, Mexico, to Emilio Castillo and Celia Pichardo Diaz.

He married Marivel Valdez on Sept. 14, 1991, in Durango. They have lived in Ulysses for the last 20 years. Isidoro worked for Seaboad Farms.

He is survived by his wife of the home; two daughters, Carmina Castillo of Gruver, Texas, and Adamaris Castillo, of Ulysses; four brothers, Emilio Castillo of Monterrey, Mexico, and Francisco Castillo, Ruben Castillo and Rigoberto Castillo, all of Ulysses; four sisters, Celia Castillo, Matilda Castillo, Mariann Castillo and Rosa Castillo, all of Durango; and his parents.

Vigil service will be 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, and funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, both at Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ulysses. Interment will follow at the Ulysses Cemetery.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday at Garnand Funeral Home in Ulysses.
