Garden City Wind starter Ryan Riordan was touched up for four runs in six innings on Tuesday night against Great Bend, and reliever Austin Hilton gave up another pair without recording an out as the Wind fell to the Great Bend Boom, 9-7, at Clint Lightner Stadium.

Those pitching performances — combined with Cameron Powers’ two runs in three innings — allowed a pair of comebacks by the Boom (16-25), who had trailed 3-0 and 7-5 to the Wind.

Nick Francis had the best day at the plate for the Wind (23-20), going 3 for 3 with two RBIs, but it was not enough to overcome the Boom’s rallies.
