Amanda King and Michael Garcia, both of Garden City, were married Oct. 19, 2013, in Garden City. The 5 p.m., double-ring ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Samuel Bynum.

The bride is the daughter of Alice King of Ulysses.

The groom's parents are Michelle Taylor of Denver; and Mike Garcia of Garden City. He is the grandson of Virginia Joseph of Charleston, S.C.

Matrons of honor were Sophia Rosales of Ulysses; and Sara Etzold of Pittsburg. Bridesmaids were Madison Etzold of Olathe; and Mayra Castro, Melissa Morrow, Carolina Ruiz, and Mia and Maven Garcia, all of Garden City.

Best man was Nick Garcia of Denver. Groomsmen were Alex Taylor of Denver; Anthony King of Pittsburg; and Danny Mesa, Andy Morrow, and Michael and Mitchell Garcia, all of Garden City.

Flower girls were Violet and Emilia Etzold of Pittsburg; and Miliana Garcia of Garden City. Ringbearers were Saven Rosales of Ulysses; and Elijah Etzold of Pittsburg.

Serving as usher was Sirus Rosales of Ulysses.

The ceremony was followed by a reception, given by family and friends, at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Garden City. Assistants were Ana Carrillo and Alejandra Cardenas, both of Garden City; Ti Trosper of San Diego; and Ann Trosper of Cody, Wyo.

The bride graduated from Ulysses High School and attended Garden City Community College. She is employed by Western State Bank. The groom graduated from Garden City High School and attended Garden City Community College. He is employed by Beaver Express.

The newlyweds are at home in Garden City.
