HUGOTON — Kenneth Melvin Greenwood died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2014, at Pioneer Manor in Hugoton.
He was born Nov. 17, 1926, in Hugoton, to Melvin and Carrie Greenwood.
Mr. Greenwood farmed in Stevens County and worked for more than 40 years as an engineer for Northern Natural Gas Company. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Mildred “Midge” Gaskill Greenwood; a son, Randal Greenwood of Hugoton; a daughter, Cynthia Greenwood Coker of Corpus Christi, Texas; three grandsons; three granddaughters; a great-granddaughter; and a great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Verna Jones.
Funeral will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church in Hugoton.
Visitation hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Paul’s Funeral Home in Hugoton and 11 a.m. to service time Friday at the church. Donations may be given in his memory to the United Methodist Church, in care of the funeral home, Box 236, Hugoton, KS 67951.
