The Kansas Board of Regents is launching a statewide awareness campaign called “Get Unstuck” aimed at attracting students interested in obtaining their GEDs, while also being enrolled in a qualifying career technical education (CTE) program. Garden City Community College is participating in the program by offering the Accelerating Opportunity (AO-K) career pathways program, in combination with adult education.
Students participating in the program may be eligible for free tuition and other assistance through a fund created during the 2014 legislative session.
Enrollment is open for the program. The deadline is Jan. 8. Orientation will be Jan. 13, 14 and 15. Classes begin Jan. 19.
