Syracuse 49, SW Heights 47

At Syracuse, the host Lady Bulldogs received 13 points from senior Delaney Pollart and 11 from freshman Kendi Keller and held off a late rally by Southwestern Heights on Thursday night for a 49-47 victory.

The Lady Bulldogs led 8-5, 26-18 and 37-32 at the quarter stops before the Lady Mustangs outscored them 15-12 in the final quarter.

Syracuse is now 3-3 overall while Heights falls to 1-4. Hannah Baldwin and Laci Rush led Heights with 11 and 10 points, respectively.

At Syracuse, the Mustangs of Southwestern Heights used a 22-9 first-quarter outburst en route to a 65-46 triumph over the host Bulldogs on Thursday night.

Four Mustangs scored in double figures, with Brandon Kisner leading the way with 14. Nate Johnsrud added 11 while Scott Holmes and Jorge Dela Torre added 10 each.

Heights led 34-19 at halftime and 48-33 after three quarters.

Dusty Simon scored 12 points to lead the Bulldogs (3-3) while Diego Leyva and Cameron Coleman added 10 apiece. Heights improves to 4-1.

At Deerfield, Anthony Mata scored 17 points and Jace Bemis added 10 to lead the host Spartans to a 54-41 win over the visiting Wildcats.

Deerfield led 12-6, 29-18 and 46-23 at the quarter stops. Moscow got 15 points from Jaylen Mendez and 11 points from Brice Valdez.
