Wichita County wins first 8-man DI championship
NEWTON - After a turnover leading to a touchdown early in the third quarter, it was time for Wichita County quarterback Erhik Hermosillo-Lopez to take control of things, rushing for 242 yards on 29 carries with five touchdowns to lead his team to a 54-36 win over Little River Saturday in the Eight-Man Division I championships at Fischer Field. He also hit three of four passes for 37 yards and two touchdowns.

Museum exhibit offers history of Christmas carols
The Finney County Historical Museum has opened a new shortterm exhibit for the holiday season, entitled “Carols of Christmas,” in the museum’s Front Door Gallery, where exhibits change periodically throughout the year.
