SADD Shines Day moved To Feb. 12
The Garden City middle school's Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) chapter has postponed the SADD Shines Day from Wednesday to Feb. 12, due to forecasted inclement weather on Wednesday. The lantern lighting ceremony will be at 5:45 p.m. in Harold Long Park, after which there will be a walk around the park.
Groundhog Supper rescheduled
The Deerfield Brotherhood's annual Groundhog Supper scheduled for Wednesday has been postponed due to forecasted inclement weather. The dinner will now begin at 4:30 p.m. Feb. 12 at the Deerfield Community Building.
Dance away the blues with 'The Blue Notes'
"The Blue Notes" will entertain for a dance beginning at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Senior Center of Finney County 907 N. 10th St. The dance is open to the public.
Harmonica favorites and more planned
Two musical programs are scheduled this week at Garden Valley Retirement Village, 1505 E. Spruce St.
A musical variety program featuring "The Don Bohl Band" will be presented at 7 tonight. And at 7 p.m. Wednesday, a musical program will feature special singing by Fielding Hands, harmonica favorites by Robert Widows and special piano music by Francine McAdams. Memory function topic of program
Memory function will be the topic of the "Facts of Life" program Friday at the Finney County Extension Office, 501 S. Ninth St.
Sheryl Carson, family and consumer sciences agent for Kearny County, will provide helpful information about memory function and various strategies to help.
The program will be from 12:05 to 12:55 p.m. (bring a sack lunch; beverages will be provided).
