With the holidays just around the corner, remember that the Finney County Public Library offers the things you need to make the holidays special.

Looking for an extra special recipe for cranberry sauce or pumpkin pie this year, we have hundreds of cookbooks available for checkout to help you find exactly what you are looking for.

Low on budget for gifts? We have a large selection of books that can help you make gifts with a personal touch for a portion of the price of store-bought gifts.

Start a tradition reading a favorite story to your children each year from one of our many children's holiday books.

And books aren't all that we have to offer. Come check out one of our DVDs or videos for a cozy family gathering on a snowy day. Or borrow an audio book to listen to in the car for the long drive to grandmother's house.

The library carries both adult and children's books on CD and digital playaway. The best part is that all of these resources to make your holiday season a little brighter are free at the library. All you need is a library card.

In order for our staff to be able to spend the holidays with their families, the library will be closed Thursday and Friday and Dec. 24 and 25.

During the rest of the holiday season, normal library hours will be in effect.

Photography Exhibit

The library is hosting a traveling exhibit of photography by F.M. Steele from now through Dec. 15.

The exhibit consists of black and white photographs of local history, including cowboys, combines and frontier small towns.

Jim Hoy will be presenting about the exhibit at 2 p.m. Saturday at the library.

If you have any questions about library programs, services or events, please stop in or give us a call at 272-3680.
