The Garden City Community College women's basketball team moved to 12-0 with a 74-52 road win over Lamar (Colo.) on Wednesday.

The Lady Broncbusters had just moved up one spot in the latest NJCAA poll to No. 11, and opened up a sizable 45-19 lead at halftime.

Shicole Watts led the Busters with 20 points and 11 rebounds on 10-of-16 shooting. Tamara Jones and Deni Jacobs each added 17 points, while Jessica Goble had 12 and seven rebounds.

Garden City held Lamar to 22-of-75 shooting from the field, a 23-pecent clip, and the Lady Lopes were just 2-of-15 from 3-point range. Nia Simms led Lamar with 14 points.

GCCC previously beat LCC, 82-56, on Nov. 27.

Garden City heads to Hutchinson this weekend, taking on Bethany's junior varsity on Friday and Northeastern Oklahoma A&M on Saturday, with both games at 1:30 p.m.
