SPORTS: Pro-Am has 105 pro entries for 31st edition

By The TelegramThere will be 105 professional golfers entered in the 31st Annual Southwest Kansas Pro-Am, in which the pro field will tee off Wednesday in the first round at both Buffalo Dunes Golf Course and The Golf Club at Southwind.
The field includes Kansans Clay Devers of Shawnee and Chris Thompson of Lawrence, who both tied for second a year ago at 2-under-par 212.
In addition, 19 of the top 25 money winners on the 2010 Adams Tour will be in Garden City for the newest edition of the Pro-Am, including Pat Grady of Broomfield, Colo., who tied for fifth in 2009 at 1-under-par 213 (70-70-73).
Grady has played four events on the Adams Tour this season and has won twice. He is the second leading money winner with $37,111.67. Ryan Nelson, also entered, is atop the money list with $39,858.33.
The pros will be competing for a $100,000 purse with the champion taking home a $15,000 check.
