Scott City boys trounce Hugoton, 66-28; Stanton Co., Lakin win

The top team in Class 3A Scott City beat Hugoton on Tuesday night at Hugoton, 66-28.

Scott City led throughout the game, but scored no points in the fourth quarter. The Beavers held Hugoton to single digits in each of the first three quarters.

Drew Kite scored 16 points to lead Scott City.

Henry Vela scored eight points for Hugoton.

The Trojans came out strong in the first quarter with a 20-8 lead, and Springfield could never catch up.

Jacob Cron scored 16 points and Marques Logan scored 15 points for Stanton County.

Justin Self scored eight points to lead Springfield.

Dexter English led Syracuse with nine points in a balanced scoring effort from the Bulldogs.

Jantz Budde and Neil Fletcher led Wichita County with 15 and 14 points, respectively.
