Lakin 61, Meade 56

Henry Chou continued his season-long tear for the Lakin Broncs Friday night, when they hosted the Meade Buffaloes.

Chou hit four 3-pointers en route to a game-high 26 points as the Broncs edged Meade, 61-56. Chou was helped by Jaylynn Hash’s 10 points and Servando Gonzalez’s nine, including six in the fourth quarter as the Broncs rallied from a 46-43 deficit to win.

Lakin improved to 6-4 and Meade fell to 5-4. The Buffs were led Hunter Davis’ 17 points.

Stanton County 63, Moscow 31

Creed Puyear and Francisco Corrales combined for 37 points to lead the Stanton County Trojans to a 63-31 win over Moscow on Friday night.

Puyear had a game-high 21 and Corrales had 16, including a quartet of 3-pointers.

Stanton County improved to 9-1 and Moscow fell to 3-8.

The Wildcats were led by Axel Granillo’s 18 points.

Girls

Stanton County 46, Moscow 28

Kenia Caro had 16 points, Peyton Peterson added 12 and Chloe Chenoweth 10 to lead the Stanton County Trojans girls to a 46-28 win over Moscow on Friday night.

The Trojans led 21-10 at halftime, and cruised through the second half to improve to a perfect 9-0 this season. Moscow fell to 1-9.

The Wildcats were led by Jessie James’ 12 points.

Ella Roberts had 18 points and Kenadee O’Brien had eight, but the Dighton Hornets fell to St. Francis, 50-35, on Friday night in Dighton.

The Hornets trailed just 13-12 after the first quarter, but the deficit grew to 27-18 at halftime, and the Hornets could not recover.
