Garden City Community College’s men’s soccer team rallied from an early 2-1 deficit to rout Hesston, 6-2, Saturday evening in Hesston.

Remi Emeriau scored a pair of goals for the Broncbusters, who improved to 7-8 overall and 4-6 in the KJCCC West.

Marcus Fernandez, Abdoulaye Again, Tapiwa Masarurgwa and Moritz Moesmang all tallied a goal each for GCCC.

The Busters now host Northwest Kansas Tech at 4 p.m. Wednesday for their next action.

GCCC women

The Buster women tallied a dramatic 2-1 win on Saturday afternoon in Hesston, when Alondra Alvarez scored in the second overtime (115th minute) to record their third win of the season.

They are 3-12 overall and 3-9 in the KJCCC West.

The Busters had to rally from a 1-0 deficit to even reach overtime, with Jessica Adame scoring in the 78th minute to draw even with Hesston, which scored in the 50th minute to take the lead.
