(TNS) — The Fourth of July was a good recruiting day for the Kansas State football team.

Yahweh Jeudy, a three-star linebacker from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, celebrated the holiday by committing to Kansas State and announcing the decision via social media on Wednesday.

Jeudy also had scholarship offers from Central Michigan, Syracuse and Toledo. The 6-foot-2, 215-pounder will be a senior at Cardinal Gibbons High School.

He is the sixth member of K-State's 2019 recruiting class and the first linebacker to join the mix.

The Wildcats' other 2019 commits are Houston quarterback Chris Herron, Dallas athlete Velton Gardner, Coppell, Texas offensive lineman Trevor Stange, Lawrence receiver Keenan Garber and Kansas City defensive tackle Cooper Beebe.
