The Garden City Family YMCA’s Youth Boys Basketball, Youth Water Safety, and Adult Indoor Soccer deadlines are approaching. Participants may sign up after the deadlines with a $10 extended registration fee.
The youth water safety class deadline is Tuesday. Classes are open to participants ages 6 months to 14 years, and are divided by both age and skill level. Cost is $20 for participants on free or reduced lunches, $26 for members, and $52 for non-members/program participants. Private lessons for all ages are also available. The youth boys’ basketball deadline for grades K through 6 is Jan. 9. The five-game schedule begins Jan. 27. Games will be played on Saturday mornings at the YMCA. Cost is $15 for participants on free or reduced lunches, $21 for members, and $42 for non-members/program participants. Players are required to purchase a reversible jersey at the YMCA Welcome Center.
January 16 is the adult indoor soccer deadline. Teams form on their own and play an eight-game schedule with a post season tournament. Games begin on Jan. 28, and all games are played on Sundays. Cost is $150 per team, $15 per member, and $30 per non-member/program participant.
