Elkhart boys, Stanton Co. girls reach Showcase finals

Elkhart, behind Alex Gomez's 21 points, outscored Rolla 31-16 in the second half to defeat Rolla 52-34 in a battle of Morton County teams.
The victory advances Elkhart to the championship game today against Beaver, Okla.
Rolla trailed by just three points at halftime, but Elkhart outscored the Pirates 31-16 in the second half for the win. Nick Link led Rolla with 20 points.

The Beaver Dusters outscored Moscow 15-2 in the first quarter and held on to win 46-37 in the Rolla Showcase semifinals Friday afternoon.
Osvaldo Granillo led Moscow's scoring attack with 20 points, and Breck Roop added 10.

Syracuse 45, Stanton County 36
Syracuse outscored Stanton County 23-10 in the second half and pulled away for a 45-36 win in consolation action Friday afternoon.
Erick York had a game-high 17 points for Syracuse, including 15 of them from beyond the arc, while J.D. Howell and Gary Parks each had 10 points.
Fabian Sierra and Marques Logan had 12 and 11 points, respectively, to lead Stanton County.

Jenna Black had a game-high 13 points to help Stanton County get by Rolla, 38-25, Friday night in a Rolla Showcase semifinal matchup and move on to the championship game.
Kaleigh Barrett had nine points to lead Rolla.
