Moscow teams roll at Rolla Showcase

Moscow 60, Syracuse 37

Breck Roop, Osvaldo Granillo and Easton Bohl combined for 47 points to pace the Moscow Wildcats to a 60-37 victory over Syracuse in the opening round Thursday of the Rolla Showcase.

Roop took game-high honors with 20 points while Granillo and Bohl added 15 and 12 points, respectively. Syracuse got 13 points from senior guard Gary Parks.

Beaver, Okla. 53, Stanton Co. 44

In a hard-fought, close contest, the Beaver, Okla., Dusters outlasted the Trojans of Stanton County in a first-round game at the Rolla Showcase.

Kaleb Gabel's 16 points were high for Beaver while Trenton Downing added 15 to the winning effort. For the Trojans, Seth Holiday had a game-high 21 points.

Elkhart broke away from a tight halftime score to post a 49-37 win against South Baca Thursday night at the Rolla Showcase.

Damian Weatherman led the Wildcats with a game high 11 points while George Winger was also in double figures with 10 points.

In the battle of the Pirates, it was host Rolla that came away with an easy 56-26 victory at the Rolla Showcase Thursday night. The host team outscored Keyes 47-14 in the last three quarters.

Leading the way for Rolla was Kyler Telford, who had a game high 20 points.

Jace Robinson led Keyes with 10 points.

Moscow's Lady Wildcats held the Lady Bulldogs scoreless in the first quarter and then limited them to five points in each of the final three quarters en route to a 42-15 victory.

Moscow had balanced scoring with Tessa Whitham and Kendra Haines sharing high point honors with 9 points each. Jaycee Housholder and Mia Wilson had three points each for Syracuse.
