INGALLS — Same teams, one week later. Same result.

One coach a bit happier than last week, and one still looking for answers.

The Ingalls girls pulled out a win over Moscow for the second time in a week, this time in Friday's second round of the Santa Fe Trail League tournament, 41-19.

For Lady Bulldogs coach Roger Thurlow, the effort from his girls was much improved, especially on defense and some on the offensive side. It was a much cleaner game than a week ago. "For a half," though, was his caveat.

"It's tough to play a full game when it's the third time you've seen them and the second half is kind of a repeat of the first two times," he said. "Bad habits start. I was a little disappointed in that."

Thurlow said he was happy his team didn't take Moscow lightly, controlling the opening tip off and the tempo of the first half.

The press and trap worked well, and he hopes his team can execute as well Saturday night against Rolla.

The Bulldogs pulled down over 30 rebounds, spread around over nine players.

Thurlow said his team is working on not going "into a funk" in the second half, especially in games like this. "And we're working on some man-to-man defense, which isn't our strong suit."

Droste had 10 points, Tara Whipple and Bluemer each scored eight points, and Dwyre scored seven to pace the Bulldogs.Moscow was just 7-of-48 from the floor, while Ingalls was 17-of-53.

Ingalls will take on Rolla at 6:30 p.m. Thurlow likes the matchup.

Moscow takes on Deerfield at 3:30 p.m.
