Hugoton stays perfect with 24-3 win

At Guymon, Okla., the Hugoton Eagles continued their winning ways, improving to 3-0, as they shut down Guymon 24-3.
Hugoton scored two touchdowns in both the first and third quarters while holding Guymon to just a field goal in the third to get the win.
Caleb Gifford ran for two scores and Zach Dunlap ran and threw for the other two to account for the Eagles scoring.
Gifford carried the ball 36 times for 189 yards.
Hugoton amassed 353 yards rushing and 71 passing, while their defense held Guymon to minus-12 yards rushing and 122 passing yards.

At Lakin, the hometown Broncs defeated the Syracuse Bulldogs 35-13 on Friday to make for a successful homecoming.
Quarterback Dylan Shalberg led the Broncs, completing 6-of-11 passes for 120 yards and two touchdowns. Evan Holmes had 12 carries for 107 yards rushing. Zach Reed had four catches for 118 yards for Lakin.
