South Gray romps; Ingalls rallies late

At Satanta, the visiting Rebels had their way against the Indians, as South Gray led 64-20 at half and then scored a third quarter touchdown to put the game away early for a 70-20 thrashing of Satanta on Friday.

Henry Friesen and Colton Dirks led South Gray, as Friesen ran for three touchdowns, while Dirks led the team with 100 rushing yards and two touchdown runs. Jake Peters, Dalton Clark, and Ryan Griebel each had a rushing touchdown also.

Satanta's Matt Leggett was 4-of-12 passing for 125 yards and two touchdowns, but also threw four interceptions for the Indians. Cody Meadows returned a kickoff 80 yards for a Satanta touchdown in the second quarter.

South Gray is now 3-2, while Satanta drops to 2-3.

Ingalls 34,

Moscow 22

At Moscow, the visiting Bulldogs got off to a slow start, but turned up the pressure on Moscow in the fourth quarter to get Ingalls a come-from-behind 34-22 win Friday over the Wildcats.

Jordan Irsik ran for two fourth quarter touchdowns for Ingalls, while Josh Irsik added a touchdown to cap off a 22-point final period. Branson and Dawson Sandoval each had touchdown runs earlier in the game for Ingalls.

Moscow's Lane Miller passed for two touchdowns in the second quarter.

Moscow falls to 3-2 and 0-1 in district play. Ingalls is 3-2 and 10-0 in district play.

At Fowler, the visiting Rolla Pirates struggled, as Fowler jumped to a 34-0 lead after the first quarter then put on two more touchdowns in the second quarter to send Rolla home early with a 47-0 loss to begin district play, as the game was called at halftime Friday night.

Taylin Bird led the way for Fowler, running for four touchdowns and passing for two more to Ty Clark to lead the Goldbugs in their shutout win. Jett Reese also scored for Fowler on a 12-yard fumble return late in the first quarter.

Rolla is now 3-2 and 0-1 in district play. The Pirates travel to Ashland next week. Fowler is 4-1 and 1-0 in district play, and will visit Ingalls next week.

At Tribune, despite taking a 6-0 lead in the first quarter, the Jackrabbits were unable to hold back Wheatland-Grinnell the rest of the game as the Thunderhawks came away with a 30-6 win over Greeley County. The Jackrabbits remain winless at 0-5.
