Hugoton boys, girls reach Blue and Red finals

James Persinger had another big night for the Eagles as he scored 27 points to lead Hugoton to a semifinal win over Guymon, Okla., 74-51, Friday night at the Blue and Red Classic.
Javier Ponce with 11 points and Alfredo Garcoa with 10 points led Guymon.

The Hooker Bulldogs took advantage of a big fourth quarter to force overtime and come back to win in the extra period, 39-36, against Ulysses Friday afternoon in semifinal action.
Carlos Galindo's game-high 11 points led Ulysses.

Despite climbling back and making it a six-point game before the fourth quarter, Perryton held Lakin's comeback bid fter the third quarter and pulled out a 54-45 win over the Broncs behind Russell Anderson's 20 points in consolation action Friday night.
Bryant Miller with 16 points and Shane Davidson with 10 points led Lakin in their loss.
