Hugoton's Eagles and Ulysses' Tigers will be represented by five wrestlers each when the Class 4A state tournament begins at 10 a.m. Friday at the Salina Bicentennial Center.
Among that group of 10 wrestlers are Hugoton's Colten Lissolo, last year's 215-pound champion, and Ulysses' Jason Perez, the 103-pound state title winner a year ago but now at 113 pounds.
Lissolo, who missed the early portion of the wrestling season due to a shoulder injury, has gone 13-1 since returning in January. Perez (28-5) finished second in the Mulvane 4A regional on Saturday.
Other regional winners who will compete include Hugoton's Lawson Fiss (35-4) and Ulysses' Razzy Morales (33-4) at 152 pounds.
Hugoton's remaining qualifiers include Logan Livengood (21-6) at 120 pounds, Patrick Weaver (28-9) at 152 pounds, and Ty Haller (28-8) at 170 pounds. Ulysses' squad is rounded out by Armando Sandoval (29-9) at 182 pounds, Michael Salas (18-10) at 195 pounds and Steven Degollado (15-12) at 220 pounds.
