Greeley County teams sweep Healy

At Tribune, the No. 1-ranked Class 1A-Division II host Greeley County Jackrabbits rallied from a five-point third quarter deficit to trip the Healy Eagles, 44-42, in a Western Kansas Liberty League contest on Monday night.
Trailing 36-31 heading to the fourth period, the Jackrabbits got eight points from Chaz Schneider in the final eight minutes to outscore the Eagles 13-6 and claim the victory. Schneider finished with 14 points, including four 3-point baskets. Taking scoring honors for the Rabbts was Cesar Yanez with 16 points, including 12 in the second half.
The game was a see-saw affair as Greeley County led 15-10 after one quarter but then saw the Eagles use a 16-7 second period for a 26-22 halftime lead.
Darrick York and Lucas Ellis scored 12 points each to pace Healy while Omar Hernandez chipped in with 10.
With the win, the Jackrabbits improve to 14-4 while the Eagles fall to 13-4.

At Tribune, the Greeley County Lady Jackrabbits raced to a convincing 66-21 victory on Monday night over the Lady Eagles of Healy.
The Lady Jackrabbits (13-5) put the game away with a 26-2 first-quarter scoring spree. It was 39-12 at halftime and 50-19 after three periods.
All 12 Lady Jackrabbits scored with Hannah Whitaker's 10 points leading the way. Silje Norbye and Chavez each scored six points for the Lady Eagles (0-15).
