Ashland boys top Ingalls, Dighton boys breeze

A difficult first half for the Ingalls Bulldogs provided the necessary scoring for the Ashland boys as the Bluejays finished with a 70-46 victory in a Southern Plains/Iroquois Activities Association contest on Friday night.
Ashland took a 13-7 lead after the first quarter but then erupted for 27 points in the second while holding the Bulldogs to just eight, producing a 40-15 halftime bulge.
In the second half, Ingalls had a 31-30 scoring edge.
Kaleb Batman finished with 15 points to pace Ingalls while Jay Luerman had 17 to lead the Ashland scoring attack.

Dighton 42, Brewster/Triplains 28
At Dighton, the Hornets limited the visiting Vikings to single-digit scoring in each of the four quarters en route to their Western Kansas/Liberty League boys victory on Friday night.
The Hornets opened with a 15-4 run in the first quarter and led 27-12 at halftime. It was 34-19 after three periods.
Guy Fullmer scored 12 points to lead the Hornets scoring while Matthew Mulville added 10. Nate Jorgensen had 11 to lead Brewster/Triplains.
