Dighton/Ness City rolls by Syracuse

At Dighton, Sophomore Guy Fullmer rushed for two touchdowns, scored another on an interception return while teammate Joe Flax added a pair of TDs to lead the Dighton/Ness City Titans to a 33-6 victory over Syracuse Friday night.

Flax, a senior, scored his first touchdown on a 2-yard run in the first quarter and then added his second on a 21-yard scamper in the third quarter. Fullmer ran one touchdown in from the 3-yard line, returned an interception 85 yards and tacked on a 14-yard scoring jaunt in the fourth quarter.

Syracuse' lone score came in the fourth quarter on a 4-yard run by quarterback Tate Housholder.

Dighton will host Thomas More Prep of Hays next Friday while Syracuse hosts Stanton County in the Hi-Plains League opener for both teams.
