Moscow, Elkhart to vie for Rolla Showcase girls title

Moscow 38,

Beaver, Okla. 31

After being unable to score in the first quarter, the Moscow Lady Wildcats used an 18-2 third quarter run to come from behind and defeat Beaver, Okla., 38-31 on Friday to advance to the Rolla Showcase championship game.

Kelsi Mueller was the only Moscow player in double figures with 12 points.

Jacinda Balderama led Beaver with 10 points.

Rolla 29

The Elkhart Lady Wildcats had little trouble against Rolla, holding the Lady Pirates to single digits for each quarter on their way to a 57-29 blowout win over Rolla on Friday in a semifinal matchup of the Morton County squads.

Victoria Fullerton led Elkhart with 16 in otherwise balanced team scoring.

Kaleigh Barrett led Rolla with 16 points.

Elkhart will face Moscow today at 6 p.m. in the Rolla Showcase championship game.

Consolation Semifinals

Stanton County 51, Syracuse 42

Stanton County used an 11-4 fourth-quarter run to pull away from Syracuse late for a 51-42 Lady Trojan victory in a consolation game.

Jenna Black led all players in the game for Stanton County with 16, including three 3-point goals. Rakel Moore also chipped in 13 points for the Lady Trojans.

Kassie Baeza led Syracuse with 12 points with Kiah Rash scoring 11 points also for Syracuse.

The Beaver Dusters used a 17-7 first quarter run to set their tempo against Moscow and hold off the Wildcats 45-33 on Friday in a Rolla Showcase semifinal game.

Logan Baldwin led Beaver with 17 points including three 3-point goals while teammate Jorge Rivera added 10 points.

Alexis Manriquez led Moscow with 10 points.

Greeley County 54, Rolla 39

The Greeley County Jackrabbits used a big fourth quarter to upend Rolla 54-39 in a semifinal contest on Friday.

Martin Veleta led Greeley County with 17 points. AJ Govert and Cesar Yanez also had double figures for Greeley County with 11 and 10 points, respectively, as the Jackrabbits used a 22 point fourth quarter to put Rolla away.

Kyler Telford led Rolla with 10 points as Rolla only trailed by five points going into the fourth quarter.

Greeley County advances to the Rolla Showcase championship game against Beaver, Okla. at 7:30 p.m. today.

The Stanton County Trojans outscored Syracuse in each quarter and defeated the Bulldogs for a 73-60 victory on Friday in a Rolla Showcase consolation game.

Stanton County's Jacob Cron had a breakout night as he scored 23 points, 12 of those points coming from 3-point range. Marques Logan and Raul Pantoja were also in double figures for Stanton County with 14 and 11 points, respectively.

Dex English led Syracuse with 16 points and Tierney Cashler added 11.

The Elkhart Wildcats scored in double figures in each quarter to earn a 66-54 victory over South Baca on Friday in a consolation semifinal game.

Alex Gomez led Elkhart with 14 points. Justin Hurn added in 13 points for Elkhart while Israel Barco chipped in 10.

Matthew Crane led South Baca with 16 points. Rhett Eskew was also in double figures for the Patriots with 11 points.
