Syracuse boys, Deerfield girls post wins

Syracuse boys 47, Deerfield 42
The Syracuse Bulldogs boys used a 17-8 fourth-quarter rally to post a 47-42 non-league victory on Tuesday over the Deerfield Spartans.
Deerfield led 34-30 after three quarters, only to see the host Bulldogs get seven points from Dexter English in the final quarter en route to a 15-point effort for the game.
Deerfield had led 8-6 after one quarter and 22-17 at halftime.
Syracuse overcame five 3-pointers by the Spartans, who struggled at the free throw line by hitting just 5-of-17 charities. Syracuse was just slightly better at the line, hitting 9-of-21 free throws.
English was the lone double-figure scorer for the Bulldogs while Mike Mata's 11 points were high for Deerfield.

Deerfield girls 34, Syracuse 31
In a game that was close all the way, Deerfield's Lady Spartans had just enough at the end to post a 34-31 non-league victory on Tuesday night over the Lady Bulldogs.
Syracuse had led 9-5 after one quarter and the game was tied at 14 at halftime. Deerfield managed a 20-19 edge after three periods before using a 14-12 final quarter advantage for the slim victory.
The teams struggled at the free throw line, with Deerfield making 20-of-36 and Syracuse making just 5-of-17 at the charity stripe.
Deerfield got 10 points from Mollie Calderon while Hailey Novack was right behind with 9. Syracuse got 9 points each from Madison Stum and Delaney Pollart, with Kiah Rash following with 7.

Moscow girls 50, Keyes, Okla. 38
Kendra Haines and Kelsi Mueller combined for 36 points to pace the Moscow Lady Wildcats to a 50-38 victory Tuesday night over Keyes, Okla.
Haines finished with 19 points and Mueller added 17 for the Lady Wildcats.
Moscow jumped out to a commanding 21-7 lead after one quarter and extended it to 36-13 by halftime. It was 40-18 after three quarters.
