Hi-Plains: Stanton Co. shuts out St. Francis

At Johnson, the Trojans rolled on offense, as Marques Logan and Quinn Kendrick each ran in two touchdowns in helping Stanton County shut out the St. Francis Indians 36-0 on Friday.

Logan and Kendrick both topped the 100-yard mark rushing, as Logan rushed for 213 yards while Kendrick rushed for 110 yards. Stanton County remains undefeated at 3-0.

Meade 50, SW Heights 13

At Meade, the Buffaloes' Jett Little ran for three touchdowns, while Chris Hardaway threw for three more to allow Meade to coast to a 50-13 win over Southwestern Heights on Friday.

Hardaway also chipped in a rushing touchdown, and Meade led 50-0 at halftime.

Rogelio Martinez and Ben Johnsrud each ran for a touchdown for the Mustangs in the second half. Johnsrud's touchdown run went for 69 yards.

Wichita County 34, Syracuse 28

At Syracuse, Wichita County scored at least oce in each quarter, and that was just enough to slip past Syracuse in the Indian's 34-28 win.

Jantz Budde led Wichita County with 186 rushing yards and three touchdowns. Colton Northrup also ran for a touchdown for Wichita County. Budde scored the Indian's game-winning touchdown on a 16-yard run with 4:05 left in the fourth quarter, as Syracuse failed to score in the final frame.

Kyle Dupree ran for two touchdowns and also had a fumble return for a touchdown in the third quarter to lead Syracuse. Levy Moreno also had a touchdown run for the Bulldogs early in the game, while Dex English rounded up the Bulldog's performance on the ground with 104 rushing yards.

It was Wichita County's first win of the season.
