Ingalls girls advance to SPIAA final

Spearville 35
The Ingalls Lady Bulldogs edged out Spearville for a 40-35 win in the SPIAA tournament semifinals on Thursday.
Down by four after the first quarter, Ingalls used a 14-9 second quarter to take the lead at half, and outscored Spearville 18-14 in the second half.
Rebecca Wyatt led Ingalls with 19 points, with Kaisha Batman chipping in nine.
Rachel Slattery had nine points to lead Spearville, and Katie Rabe added eight.
Ingalls plays Bucklin at 6 p.m. Saturday in the championship game.

South Gray 34
The South Gray girls struggled in a 53-34 loss to Fowler in a consolation game in the SPIAA tournament on Thursday.
Aside from a 22-point second quarter, the Lady Rebels didn't score more than five points in the other three periods.
Sara Dressler and Brittany McDowell led Fowler with 10 points apiece, and McDowell made both of the team's 3-pointers.
Dusty Watkins had 12 points to lead South Gray, while Raine Torres added eight, including a pair of 3-pointers.
