Dighton girls beat Greeley County, Ingalls tops Kiowa County

Dighton 39,

Greeley County 30

Dighton used a 10-2 fourth quarter to pull away from Greeley County late for a 39-30 win on Tuesday at Wichita County to open the first full day of Northwest Kansas League tournament play.

Leslie Speer led Dighton with 14 points with Liz Heath adding 11 points.

Hannah Whitaker led Greeley County with 16 points as the Lady Jackrabbits did not give in easily to Dighton.

Dighton moves on to play Oakley on Friday at 3 p.m. at Wichita County in a tournament semifinal game. Greeley County falls into the consolation side and will face Quinter at 3 p.m. on Friday also at Wichita County.¬­

Ingalls 45,

Kiowa County 31

At Ingalls, after trailing by five points at halftime, the Lady Bulldogs cleaned up in the second half by outscoring Kiowa County 26-7 in the third and fourth quarters and pull out a 45-31 win on Monday.

Rebecca Wyatt led all players in the game for Ingalls with 19 points including 10 in the second half to help the Lady Bulldogs break free from Kiowa County.

Riann Heft and Halie Headrick led Kiowa County with eight points each.
