Area Boys: Mata helps Deerfield beat Moscow

At Deerfield, after trailing 24-19 at halftime, the Deerfield Spartans overcame Moscow in the second half and a 30-point performance by Moscow’s Easton Bohl for a 61-50 comeback win against the Wildcats on Friday.
Deerfield’s Alex Mata had a big night of his own with 24 points including four 3-point goals. Mike Mata also backed up Deerfield with 12 points as the Spartans outscored Moscow 42-26 in the second half.
Moscow’s Easton Bohl had 15 of his 30 points come from five 3-point goals and was the only Wildcat player in double figures.

Dighton 66, Wallace County 60
At Dighton, the Hornets used a 37-30 second half to hold off a potent Wallace County offense late for a 66-60 victory on Friday.
Ryan Kuhlman led Dighton with 25 points. Three other Dighton Hornets were in double figures, including Mathew Barnett with 17 points, Isaac Alinor with 11 points and Mathew Mulville chipping in 10 points.
Eli Kuhlman led Wallace County with 24 points as Gavin Mote also added 10 points for the Wildcats.

At Syracuse, the Southwestern Heights Mustangs scored in double figures for each quarter and posted a 57-43 win over Syracuse on Friday.
Jorge DelaTorre led Heights with 13 points. Clayton Chase and Ben Johnsrud also had double figures for the Mustangs with 12 and 10 points, respectively.
Kyle Dupree led Syracuse with 11 points.

At Ingalls, the visiting Rebels outscored Ingalls 35-14 in the first half and cruised to a 57-37 victory over the Bulldogs on Friday.
Trenton Holloway led South Gray with 18 points in their win. Carson Skidmore and Zach Tyler were also in double figures for South Gray with 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Zeke Cox led Ingalls with nine points.

Jett Little led Meade with 17 points, with Randy Friesen following up with 14 points.
Dalton Shalberg led Lakin with 10 points as the Broncs only trailed by six points at halftime.

Nate Cearley led Sublette with 18 points. Jake Gesling also added 11 points for the Larks, with Andrew Lower chipping in 10 points.
Zach Freeman led Satanta with 21 points, with James Turpin also in double figures with 10 points.

Down 27-20 at halftime, Hugoton outscored Colby 17-5 in the fourth quarter to complete the comeback.
Henry Vela led the Eagles with 14 points, including five in the fourth, and Logan Frederick added 11, including a pair of 3’s in the final period.
