Moscow boys rout Hardesty, Okla.; South Gray beats Deerfield

At Moscow, the Wildcats used a balanced scoring effort to overrun Hardesty 48-19 on Friday.

Alexis Manriquez and Brice Valdez led Moscow with 10 points each as the Wildcats jumped ahead with an 18-2 first quarter and a 32-9 halftime lead.

Francisco Morales led Hardesty with seven points.

At Hoxie, the Greeley County Jackrabbits struggled to keep up with the Indians, falling 60-46 on Friday.

Kade Spresser led Hoxie with 15 points. Chase Kennedy and Connor Katt were also in double figures for the Indians with 12 and 10 points, respectively.

Martin Veleta and A.J. Govert both led Greeley County with 12 points each. Troy Wineinger also added 10 points for the Jackrabbits.

At St. Francis, Wichita County came back from a 25-18 halftime deficit to get a hard-earned 45-41 win on the road on Friday.

Neil Fletcher led Wichita County with 15 points. Alberto Gallegos and Jantz Budde each chipped in with 11 points as Wichita County outscored St. Francis 27-16 in the second half.

Dylan Peter led St. Francis with 14 points.

At Montezuma, the Rebels used big second and third quarters to pull away from Deerfield for a 63-44 South Gray win on Friday.

Gabriel Loya led South Gray with 13 points as Zach Tyler and Gaige Foskuhl each chipped in 10 points for the Rebels.

Alex Mata and Mike Mata led Deerfield with 19 and 11 points, respectively.

At Rolla, the visiting Fowler Goldbugs, the number-one team in Class 1A-Div. II, had big first, second and third quarters to sweep past Rolla 65-36 on Friday.

Taylin Bird and Jett Reese both led Fowler with 17 points apiece. Tem Shetley also added 10 points for Fowler as the Goldbugs led 19-9, 37-16, and 60-23 in those first quarters.

Obie Telford and Kyler Telford both led Rolla with seven points each.

At Cimarron, the visiting Trojans jumped out early and harnessed their early momentum to take down Cimarron 67-54 on Friday.

Jacob Cron led Stanton County with 16 points as Marques Logan added 11 points and Cole Smith put up 10 points in the Trojans balanced scoring effort.

Ted Boersma led Cimarron with 22 points and Christian Fischer added 12 points as Cimarron trailed 22-12 after the first quarter and 37-22 at halftime.
