Cimarron boys edge Syracuse; Deerfield wins in OT

Syracuse 36

At Cimarron, the Bluejays were locked in a close game with visiting Syracuse before edging out the Bulldogs, 41-36 on Friday.

Christian Fischer led Cimarron with 14 points as the Bluejays held on to a one-point lead at halftime and three-point margin after the third quarter.

Jacob Barnes led Syracuse with 15 points, and Leonel Romero added 11.

At Deerfield, in their second overtime game in three days, the Spartans managed to get on the winning side this time in a 64-62 win over Rolla on Friday.

Mike Mata led Deerfield with 18 points, including all of the team's points in the extra period. Jordan Calderon followed in double figures for the Spartans with 13 points. Alex Mata had 12 points and Anthony Mata 11.

Nick Link led Rolla with a game-high 28 points, with Kyler Telford and Lupe Garcia 10 apiece.

At Satanta, the visiting Meade Buffaloes dominated the Indians throughout the game on their way to a 74-28 victory on Friday.

Morgan Davis led a balanced Meade offense with 14 points. Chris Hardaway added 13 points for the Buffaloes, while Jett Little and Randy Friesen each chipped in 10.

Zach Freeman led Satanta with seven points. Meade led 30-10 after the opening quarter and 48-16 at halftime.

Jacob Cron led Stanton County with 18 points and got assistance from Cole Smith who scored 13. A 19-4 fourth quarter put the Trojans out of striking distance for Moscow.

Chaz Hebbard led Walsh with 18 points, with Chase Mundell scoring 15 points.
