8-man: Rolla, Satanta win close games

Rolla 28, South Gray 26

At Rolla, the Pirates surprising season produced another win on Friday night, as two late touchdowns in the fourth quarter were enough to slip past South Gray in a 28-26 come-from-behind win.

Kyler Telford scored all the touchdowns for Rolla with two fourth-quarter runs coming with 3:24 and 1:48 left. Jordan Schwindt had the two-point conversion after the final touchdown to put Rolla ahead. Telford also intercepted South Gray's final pass from Richard Racy with 19 seconds left as Rolla improves their season record to 3-1.

Colton Dirks had two touchdown runs in the game to lead the Rebels, who are now 2-2.

Moscow 44,Greeley County 26

At Tribune, a big first half helped the visiting Moscow Wildcats to a big, first-half scoring cushion on the Jackrabbits and roll to a 44-26 victory over Greeley County on Friday night.

Greeley County's Cesar Yanez was 4-of-13 passing for 201 yards and two touchdowns. Elijah Stone had two touchdown receptions for 142 yards and added an interception return for a touchdown for Greeley County.

Moscow moves to 3-1 while Greeley County is 0-4.

Satanta 28, Hill City 26

At Satanta, a resilient Indians squad scored the only touchdown in the fourth quarter from Abraham Miramantes and got the two-point conversion after a back-and-forth game to produce a 28-26 victory over the Hill City Ringnecks.

Miramantes rushed 17 times for 82 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Indians. Miramantes also had 14 tackles to lead Satanta's defense as Satanta evened its record at 2-2. Hill City is 0-3.

WaKeeney 58, Ingalls 22
At Ingalls on Friday night, WaKeeney/Trego Community built a 38-14 halftime lead en route to a 58-22 victory over Ingalls in 8-man football action.
Devon Ghumm was the biggest producer for the Eagles as he scored four touchdowns on runs of 1, 12 and 18 yards as well as returning a kickoff 60 yards for a score. He also added five extra point conversion runs.
For the Bulldogs, Josh Irsik scored on touchdown runs of 26 and 2 yards while Branson Sandoval caught a 46-yard pass from Irsik for the other TD.
The Bulldogs are now 2-2 overall. WaKeeney improves to 3-1.
