Limes: Garden City community blood drive

Lois Limes discusses the upcoming Garden City community blood drive in the latest edition of Talk of the Town.

Lois Limes, donor recruitment representative for the American Red Cross, discusses the upcoming Garden City community blood drive, to be held 2 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 205 N. 8th St.

The central plains region requires 500 donors each day to supply 100+ area hospitals. Across the United States, 38,000 units are needed each day. One unit of blood is equal to a pint, and can be separated into several components to help save the lives of several people.
