Farm Bureau, the largest farm organization in the state, was founded on grassroot involvement. Almost 100 years later, that’s still true.

Last week, our Political Action Committee, Voters Organized to Elect Farm Bureau Friends or VOTE FBF, released its endorsements for state and federal races. Since 1993, VOTE FBF has endorsed and supported candidates for public office who support family farming and ranching.

We are proud that more than 90 percent of VOTE FBF-supported candidates have been elected.

These recent endorsements came from the guidance of members across the state with more than 90 county Farm Bureaus providing input. This feedback was reviewed and analyzed by a 10-member board made up of farmers and ranchers who are elected by their peers from across the state.

Farm Bureau members provided clear direction in their support of Dr. Jeff Colyer as governor. After participating in dozens of gubernatorial forums across the state, they feel Dr. Colyer is the strongest candidate amongst the entire field of Republicans, Democrats and Independents and understands agriculture is the lifeblood of the Kansas economy.

This upcoming election is important for every Kansas citizen. Our members are actively educating themselves on the issues and candidates, and we encourage every Kansan to do the same.

If you feel strongly about the future of Kansas, our rural and urban counties, and our quality of life, be part of the process. An easy step for anyone to take is to join their county Farm Bureau. Your membership will unlock access to information that’s important to you and your family. You’ll join the state’s largest farm advocacy organization and ensure your voice is heard.
