Patricia Garcia

Patricia Martinez Garcia, 46, of Garden City and formerly of Salina, died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, in Garden City.She was born Sept. 16, 1966, in Hayward, Calif., to Raquel Martinez-Barrera.
A Garden City resident since she was a young child, she returned in August 2009.
On Oct. 6, 1983, she married Cristino Garcia in Liberal.
While living in Salina, she worked for Exide Tech in the ship pasting department for seven years.
In addition to her husband, survivors includes two sons, Cristino A. Garcia Jr. and Diego A. Garcia, both of Garden City; three daughters, Ruby I. Garcia of Garden City, and Marissa L. Garcia and Yvonne V. Garcia, both of the home; her mother, of Garden City; a brother, Jose Antonio Barrera of Garden City; two sisters, Maria Elena Morales and Veronica Aguiniga, both of Garden City; and nine grandchildren.
Evening service will begin at 7 p.m. Friday at Templo Emmanuel Asamblea de Dios, 1311 New York Ave. Funeral will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Visitation hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City and 4 to 9 p.m. Friday at the church. Condolences may be emailed to garnandfh@sbcglobal.net.

Sweet Patricia
Sweet is definitely the word that describes Patricia. She was a joy to have as a friend in high school. Her soft spirit was so easy to love and certainly unforgettable. Prayers for her family.
