Velma Pearl Coen

ELKHART — Velma Pearl Coen, 97, died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, at Morton County Care Center in Elkhart.

She was born Dec. 9, 1915, in Stafford County to Alford and Pearl German.

She married M.R. Coen on May 15, 1938, in Richfield.

Survivors include a son, Larry Coen of Elkhart; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a sister, Opal Miller; and infant brother, Delmer.

Services are at 10 a.m. Monday at Garnand Funeral Home Chapel in Elkhart. Interment will follow at the Rolla Cemetery in Rolla.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Garnand Funeral Home in Elkhart.

Memorials are suggested in lieu of flowers to the Elkhart Senior Center in care of the funeral home.
