SYRACUSE — Terril Lane Schmidt, 47, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012, at his home in Key West, Fla.

He was born Oct. 6, 1965, in Garden City, to Henry and Eva Jane Jantz Schmidt.

Mr. Schmidt attended Syracuse High School.

He worked on a cruise ship and later returned to painting houses in Key West.

Mr. Schmidt is survived by his mother; a brother, Steve Schmidt of Syracuse; two sisters, Carolyn Cruz of Syracuse and Robyn Schmidt of Lawrence; four nieces; and two nephews.

A memorial graveside service will be at 1 p.m. MST Saturday at the Syracuse Cemetery.
