Dorothy Simpkins

Dorothy Marie Simpkins, 90, died Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at her home in Garden City.
She was born June 27, 1922, in Lakin, to Charles and Alice Henderson McColm.
A resident of Garden City since 1965 moving from Colorado, she was a homemaker.
In 1968, she married W. Blair Simpkins in Garden City. He died in 1975 in Garden City.
Survivors include a daughter, Florence Ramsey of Garden City; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, William J. Bryan; a daughter, Earlene Marie Bryan; three sisters; and two brothers.
Graveside Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Lakin Cemetery in Lakin.
Interment will be held at the Lakin Cemetery in Lakin.
Memorials may be given to the Dorothy M. Simpkins Memorial Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home, 620 N. Main St., Garden City.
