Bessie Irene Burch

LEOTI — Bessie Irene Burch, 95, died on Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013, at Wichita County Health Center in Leoti.

She was born Feb. 6, 1917, at her family homestead in rural Wichita County, to Roy and Helen Graham Elder.

A lifetime resident of Wichita County, she was a homemaker.

On Sept. 26, 1934, she married Lee Burch in Leoti. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include 10 children, Wilma Martin of Ulysses, Jack Burch of Leoti, Betty Radloff of Ulysses, Lester Burch of Hartshorne, Okla., Glen Burch of Leoti, Phyllis Lane of Eads, Colo., Edith Taylor of Leoti, Alva Burch of Holcomb, Ken Burch of Ingalls and Patsy Riley of Leoti; two sisters, Alice Summers and Neva Duncan, both of Leoti; 64 grandchildren, 106 great-grandchildren and 33 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers; three sisters; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Assembly of God Church in Leoti. Burial will be in Leoti Cemetery.

Visitation is from noon to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Price and Sons Funeral Home in Leoti.

Memorials may be given to the Leoti Volunteer Fire Department/EMS or the Wichita County Amusement Association in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to the the family through the funeral home at priceandsons.com
