Remedios Ledesma, 92, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, in Oceanside, Calif.

She was born Nov. 17, 1920, in Taylor, Texas, to Ygnacio and Emilia Hernandez Bribiesca.

A Garden City resident for many years, Mrs. Ledesma was a homemaker. She had been living with her daughter for the past five years.

She married Ezequiel Ledesma on Oct. 6, 1947, in Garden City. He died Oct. 3, 1986. She also was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson and two great-grandchildren.

Survivors include three sons, Ezequiel Ledesma Jr. of Garden City, Gerard Ledesma of Denver, and Jesse Ledesma of Hutchinson; two daughters, Regina Rodriguez of Garden City, and Veronica Ledesma of Oceanside; a brother, Thomas Bribiesca of Montebello, Calif.; a sister, Ruth Bribiesca of Oceanside; 17 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.       

Rosary will begin at 7 p.m. Monday at St. Dominic Catholic Church, Garden City. Funeral Mass will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will be at Valley View Cemetery, Garden City.

Visitation hours are 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday at Garnand Funeral Home, Garden City. Condolences may be emailed to  garnandfh@sbcglobal.net. Memorials to the Remedios Ledesma Memorial Fund may be sent in care of the funeral home, 412 N. Seventh St., Garden City, KS 67846.
