ULYSSES — Maria Hernandez, 62, died Saturday, April 27, 2013, at The Legacy at Parkview in Ulysses.

ULYSSES — Maria Hernandez, 62, died Saturday, April 27, 2013, at The Legacy at Parkview in Ulysses.

She was born Oct. 31, 1950, at San Benito, Texas, to Pablo and Maria De La Paz Macias Mendoza.

Survivors include three sons, Alfredo and Victor Hernandez, both of Ulysses, and Eduardo Hernandez of Arlington, Texas; a daughter, Esmeralda Hernandez of Ulysses; two brothers, Mario Escalon, of Fresno, Texas, and Pablo Mendoza, Jr., of Ulysses; three sisters, Maria Luisa Avila, Olga Uresti, and Blanca Torres, all of Brownsville, Texas; 19 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Maria De Jesus Medina.

Rosary service is 7 p.m. today at Mary Queen of Peace Church, Ulysses. Mass service is 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mary Queen of Peace Church, Ulysses. Burial will be in Ulysses Cemetery.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. today at Mary Queen of Peace Church, Ulysses.
