June R. Warren

GARDEN CITY — June R. Warren, 71, died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at Via Christi St. Francis Medical Center in Wichita.

She was born June 13, 1941, in Marian, to Henry and Alice Cherry Day.

A resident of Garden City since 1981, Mrs. Warren was a cook at Wheat Lands Restaurant in Garden City for many years.

Survivors include a son, Randy Warren of Yukon, Okla.; five sisters, Carol Carey and Faye Day both of Enid, Okla., Charlotte Kramer of Holcomb, Shirley Denton of Pueblo, Colo., and Donna McConnell of Wyoming; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Dale Warren; an infant daughter, Berniece Ann Ruby Warren; a grandson, Jamiey; a brother, Roy Day; and a sister, Margaret.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City. Interment will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Larned City Cemetery in Larned.

Visitation is from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to the June R. Warren Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.

I worked at the complex where June lived, we got to know each other really well. I so enjoyed her company, she was a very rare friend,I am going to miss her very much. You all are in my prayers.

Sorry for your loss

I'm sorry for your loss, but can rejoice that June knew The Lord. I remember when she got saved and what a faithful member of the church she was! She was a joy to know. You are in my prayers.
