SATANTA — Calvin L. Hoskinson, 71, died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at Satanta District Hospital in Satanta.

He was born Oct. 26, 1941, in Woods to Azariah and Avanell Shuss Hoskinson.

He married Jerrene Nelson on May 18, 1972 in Satanta. She survives.

Mr. Hoskinson served in the U.S. Army.

He was a dirt contractor.

Survivors include a son, Michael Hoskinson of Satanta; a sister, Venita Hill of Kiowa; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Nelson Wade Hoskinson; and a brother, Johnny Hoskinson.

Services are at 2 p.m. Friday at The First Church in Satanta; burial will follow at Dudley Township Cemetery.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. today at Swaim Funeral Chapel of Sublette.

Memorials are suggested to the Calvin Hoskinson Memorial Fund, in care of the funeral home.
